Harry Potter and the Big Pot of Gold
Oh look, there's going to be a new Hairy Pooter and, what's more, our blogroll friend Madame Arcati has made a reduction from the soup of rumour and read the remaining bones.
And to think; I am old enough to remember when the two sevens clashed.
I can't help myself, I'm already counting the fourpence ha'penny spike in our sales for next June.

Will Kwik-Save sell copies for a fiver after lunchtime on the 2007 release date ?
It would be oh so nice to think that the indies would gain some small benefit from the hairy one, but I will not be ordering any copies - the local Tesco will be selling the book beneath the price at which I could purchase 100 copies wholesale.
Anyways, with Moomin who needs the hairy one !!

Clive - it will be very interesting this time out I think. We indies are constantly being told by people who know better than we do, to diversify and ignore the heavily discounted...How many of us bothered to stock Jamie this Christmas...

Jonathan - this morning I have been writing the second batch of month end payment cheques : the tank would have been very dry if I had relied upon profit from Jamie to meet the monthly accounts, let alone pay the quarters rent ! Sadly, some indies apparently stocked (and subsequently discounted) Jamie in a vain attempt to maintain "market share", instead of moving to higher ground, offering a more catholic stock range such as not even shelved by the chains, let alone discounted.
Here's to 2007, even without the benefit of sales from the hairy one.
